"The Living Room was the main room"

The living room is on the first floor and was the first room that you would have entered back in the 13th century through to the 17th century, it also gives access to the upper and lower floors.

It would have been a busy room but also pretty cold and un-welcoming with the entrance door being opened frequently and the many servants and staff entering the building so privacy would have been near impossible.

During the first 400 years it would have seen its fare share of visitors, entertainment, attacks and death.
